8. Penelope Cruze
Penelope Cruz is a Spanish actress, model, and singer. Born in Spain in 1974, she is the daughter of the Spanish actors Conchita Cintron and Rafael Nadal. She began her career as a child model but later turned to act to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Her first role was in Bigas Luna’s Jamon, Jamon (1992).
She has appeared in over 35 films since then, including Woman on Top (2000), Blow (2001), Vanilla Sky (2001), and All About My Mother (1999). She also had a starring role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona with Javier Bardem, where they played two Americans who visit Barcelona for a summer holiday before getting married at City Hall by mistake; this was later nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Cruz. Penelope currently resides with her husband Javier Bardem along with their children Leo & Luna Cruz-Bardem.
